Working principle of oil pump

The oil pump is divided into gasoline pump and engine pump, the gasoline pump is in the fuel tank, and the oil pump is installed in the engine.

Working principle of gasoline pump: at present, most models of fuel pump are installed in automobile fuel tank, and the fuel pump driven by electricity is composed of pump body, permanent magnet motor and shell. When the permanent magnet motor is electrified, the pump body is rotated, the fuel is inhaled from the oil inlet, flows through the inside of the electric fuel pump, and then pressed out from the outlet to supply the fuel system. Fuel flows through the interior of the electric fuel pump, which plays a cooling role in the armature of the permanent magnet motor, also known as the wet fuel pump. The motor part of the electric fuel pump includes a permanent magnet fixed to the shell and an armature that produces electromagnetic torque, as well as a brush device installed on the shell. The brush is in contact with the commutator on the armature, and the lead is connected to the pin on the shell to direct the voltage of the electric fuel pump to the armature winding. The shell of the electric fuel pump is coiled and riveted at both ends, so that the components are assembled into a non-detachable assembly. The additional functions of the fuel pump are performed by the safety valve and the one-way valve. The safety valve can avoid the oil pipe rupture or fuel pump damage caused by the excessive increase of pressure when the fuel line is blocked. The purpose of the one-way valve is to seal the oil circuit when the fuel pump stops working so that the fuel system can maintain a certain residual pressure so that the engine can start easily next time.

The working principle of the oil pump: the general oil exists in the oil pan, after the oil pump begins to work, through the volume change of the working unit (gear, rotor, blade, etc.) in the pump body, the oil in the oil pan is drawn out, and the oil is entered into the oil pump through the filter. The oil outlet of the oil pump has a certain oil pressure, so that the oil can be filtered through the oil, and then enter the main oil channel and various parts that need to be lubricated (piston, valve, camshaft, etc.).
